K9News-Revival recognizes that:
- The Police Department in Trenton, through direct result of public referendum, has become a focal point of politics in Trenton; and
- City Council and the Mayor are now responsible for policing in Trenton and their political well-being is directly linked to the success or failure of the Police Director; and
- The Police Director, Deputy Director and any other political appointees to posts within the Police Department hold political office, albeit without the benefit of being elected; and
- Abuse of authority by political appointees to the Police Department, for the political gain of those persons who made such appointments, is a genuine concern to the citizens of Trenton.

To this end, K9News-Revival will:
- Through the use of satire and serious commentary and reporting, be a watch-dog of the Trenton Police Department and Trenton political figures; and
- Attempt to initiate political change in Trenton through all the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States; and
- Vigorously defend the rights of K9News-Revival staff and contributing writers to engage in free press - if attempts are made to thwart, hinder and/or pervert the efforts of this publication and/or its writers to express political dissent.
